Alongside a busy career as a freelance artist, Katherine is proud to hold the position of Head of Voice at St Mary’s Music School.

A specialist music school based in Edinburgh, St Mary’s Music School provides world-class music and academic education for talented young musicians aged 9-19, drawing young people from Scotland, the UK, and beyond. Notable alumni include Steven Osborne, Garry Walker, Helen Grime, David Horne, and Alexander Armstrong. The school's mission is to foster academic and musical excellence in a supportive environment with funding available through the Scottish Government.  It also opens its doors to young musicians through masterclasses, interactive days and Saturday Music Classes.

St Mary’s Music School is the only institution in Scotland and the North East of England to offer a full-time vocal programme to young singers aged between 13-19 years old. Pupils on the Vocal Programme engage in a comprehensive programme designed to give them all the tools they need to pursue vocal study at conservatoire, university and beyond.
